My name’s Jonathan and I started flying at the Palo Alto airport in 2013. After college and a few years as an engineer, I became a CFI at Palo Alto in 2020. In 2021 I went to Air Force pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base and was part of the first Civil/Accelerated Path to Wings class there. I attended C-130J follow on training at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas and currently fly the C-130 with the 115th Airlift Squadron in the California Air National Guard. When not flying, you can find me running, lifting, surfing, sailing, building boats, or hanging out with friends.
My initials are JZ and I've gone by the nickname JZ since high school. When I got my pilot's license and started flying places with friends, they started saying we flew "JZ Air" to get there. I liked the name so when I started this Part 135 operation, I kept it.
